Amazing Vision Wood Work

Wood Work by a Legally Blind US Army Veteran

Lost my Sight not My Vision

Amazing Vision Wood Work is a company owned by Jerry Abney, a proud veteran of the United States Army. Jerry was deployed in 2003 to take part in Operation Iraqi Freedom. He returned in 2004 and by March 2005 had lost his vision in his right eye, followed by 90% of his left eye’s vision in October 2006. Jerry went through rehabilitation training at the

Southeastern Blind Rehabilitation Center, where he was introduced to wood work.

As a retired disabled US Army Master Sergeant, Jerry had found something that he found both challenging and rewarding. He has connected with fellow wood workers in order to continue improving his skills, techniques and knowledge. In 2009, Jerry formed Amazing Vision Wood Work in Miami, Florida.
